Thermex Newcastle Medio 90x50 cm white is a ceiling-integrated cooker hood with an internal motor, combining discreet built-in installation, efficient extraction and flexible control via remote control, app and VoiceLink voice control.
The hood is installed directly in the ceiling and creates a minimalist look, where only the elegant white surface is visible above the hob. With an airflow of up to 452 m³/h and 4 speeds, Newcastle Medio is well suited for kitchens where ventilation needs to be effective without taking up visual space in the room.
Design and installation
Newcastle Medio is designed for ceiling integration and fits beautifully into kitchens where the hood is intended to be placed discreetly above the hob. The white finish creates a clean and calm expression, making the hood easy to integrate into light ceilings and modern kitchen environments.
The model has a visible size of 90x50 cm and can be installed in the ceiling with brackets or in a ceiling podium, depending on the installation. For ceiling-integrated models, it is recommended that the distance between the hob and the hood does not exceed 3 metres.
Functions and operation
The hood is equipped with an internal motor and 4 speeds, making it easy to adapt the extraction to your cooking. With a maximum airflow of 452 m³/h, you get an efficient solution for everyday cooking, while the ceiling-integrated placement creates good freedom around the hob.
Control and lighting
The hood is operated with the included remote control, making it easy to control both extraction and lighting. The remote control uses radio frequency and can operate the hood’s functions from a distance of up to 8 metres, depending on the surroundings.
With the Thermex Remote App, the hood can also be operated directly from a smartphone, and the built-in VoiceLink function enables voice control via Google Assistant. This allows you to turn the hood on and off, adjust the extraction power and control the light using your voice.
There is also the option to purchase the Thermex Top Link Module, which connects the hob or oven and hood wirelessly. When the hob or oven is switched on, the hood can start automatically and continue running after cooking, removing the last cooking fumes.
The 4 LED lights of 1.5 W each provide good working light over the hob and can be switched on and off independently of the motor. The hood also features a timer function, filter cleaning indicator, dimmer and periodic extraction.
Noise level
Newcastle Medio has a noise level from 49 dB(A) to 67 dB(A), depending on the selected speed. The ceiling-integrated placement makes the hood particularly suitable for kitchens where a discreet solution with good everyday comfort is desired.
Easy cleaning
The hood is equipped with 2 aluminium filters that collect grease and particles from cooking. The filters can be removed and cleaned as needed, helping the hood maintain efficient operation and a long service life.
The white lacquered surface is easy to clean with a damp cloth and ordinary dishwashing detergent. The filter cleaning indicator helps remind you of maintenance, so the hood always works optimally.

App control
With the App control, you can access your Thermex product via your smartphone. It turns your smartphone into a remote control, so you always have full control. In the app, there are more functions than you find on the normal operation.
Metal filter
The metal filter is the traditional filter that everyone knows. This ensures that the grease from the hood does not end up inside the hood or in the duct system. The metal filter can be washed in the dishwasher.
Remote control
The remote control makes it easy and convenient to operate your Thermex product. You don't even have to get up - Then it doesn't get any easier.
Light dimmer
Using the dimmer function, you can adjust the brightness of the work light in the scope. The lighting in kitchens is very different, so with dimmers you can adjust the amount of light to suit your needs.
Edge suction
Hoods with edge suction has an exclusive design with the filters hidden inside the hood. Edge suction creates air currents all the way around the cooking zone. It is these air currents that effectively trap the food.
Periodic extraction
Periodic extraction is a function of the hood which makes it possible to use the hood as an aid for ventilation in the home. You can e.g. set the hood to start for 10 minutes per hour.
Timer function
With the timer function, the product continues to extract for a short period after you would normally switch it off. In this way, you are sure that you have ventilated thoroughly. It helps to ensure a good indoor climate.
Filter cleaning indicator
The filter cleaning indicator is a timer that reminds you to remember to clean the filter in the hood. It is not a sensor, but a timer that gives a notification after a period of time.
